3. This CD is music from the Swedish version of the hippie age, and was inspired by the LOTR. Might not be popular for the kids today, but it was well received a half century ago. (Yes, really). Kind of nostalgic. Bo Hansen was a musician and composer from a long time ago and far away, and this does represent that time and place/5(23).

5. Bo Hansson's album provides a welcome diversion from the modern tendency to associate epic tales with a bombastic sort of classical music. In it, Hansson presents an interpretation of the Lord of the Rings trilogy that is wonderfully impressionistic: the elegant songs follow each other fluently and show that the composer must have been little bothered with reflecting the actual course of events in the books/5(22).
