4. This is the Dave Brubeck album for people who hate Brubeck's piano playing. Dave must have taken a magic elixir of some sort before this session to totally change his piano style, improvisational aplomb and touch on the keyboard entirely, for he doesn't sound a bit like Dave Brubeck here--no block chords, no bombast, no percussiveness/5(13).
